Collecting leads in Messenger - Webview functionality

Webview užklausu ir rezervacijų rinkimas facebook messenger

StartMsg conversational marketing platform allows opening a special “webview” window in the Messenger app, where websites can be displayed for collecting inquiries on the Messenger platform. This enables offering features and interactive forms that cannot be delivered through text or messages alone – for example, selecting products, booking seats, or choosing a preferred date.

WEBVIEW CONTROL PANEL

To access your created webview windows, go to Messenger Bot manager > Webview menu. Here you will find a list of all created webview forms:

  • 🔍 Preview – allows you to see how the form looks and copy the webview link.
  • 📊 Reports – allows you to see the form analytics and submitted data.
  • 📁 Export – allows you to download all submitted form data in CSV format.
  • ✏️ Edit – allows you to modify the existing form as needed.
  • 🗑️ Delete – removes the webview form.

WEBVIEW FORM CREATION – Leads Collection on Messenger

To create a new webview form, click on "Create new form". This process is done with the "drag-and-drop" creation tool, where you can easily select the form name, title, page, and other parameters like tags and response templates. After submitting the form, users will be assigned the specified tags and will automatically receive a response in their Messenger inbox.

Using Webview Forms

To use the created webview for collecting requests in Messenger, click view form and copy the browser URL. Then, you can implement this link in your Messenger Bot manager settings by selecting webview as the button type.

Form Setup in Chat Flow

  • Go to the flow builder and select "Create new conversation by keyword" or open an existing conversation.
  • In this example, we are using the "Get Started Template" – as you can see in the image, it is a fully prepared conversation.

  • We add the webview form to the "Inquiry" button with our created form.

When the user clicks "Inquiry" or another button of your choice, the webview will open in the Messenger app. This allows the user to easily fill out the form and, after submitting the data, see a confirmation message of successful request submission.

Reports

In the Webview control panel, click the eye icon to view the report; you will also receive the information by email. The data here is grouped by each user.
